The world’s number 1 padel player, Juan Lebrón, participated in the UNICEF charity tournament we held with one of our flagship games: *Tennis Blitz Tie Break Tens*, the most realistic mobile tennis video game on the market with the best graphics.
This charity tournament was held in support of UNICEF Spain thanks to the ‘Gaming For Good’ initiative, which was created to support the regular programs that the organization develops for children and adolescents worldwide through mobile video game competitions with eGoGames. The competition took place over several weeks in *Tennis Blitz*, the most realistic mobile tennis video game on the market, launched exclusively by eGoGames a few weeks ago.
The charity tournament, supported by Lebrón and open to players from around the world, was based on demonstrating participants' skills using the Tie Break Tens scoring system, which reflects the speed and excitement of major competitions even more. After several weeks of competition, the tournament winners were able to receive their trophies from the current world number 1 padel player, Juan Lebrón. The prizes included three padel rackets valued at nearly €1,000, a signed shirt and pair of shoes from Juan Lebrón, several sets of tennis balls, and about twenty hours of padel court rentals at the Madrid Río Arena Pádel.
Lebrón, who recently claimed the title of world number 1 just a month ago, has supported this first charity eSports tournament for UNICEF Spain through his social media accounts. Additionally, he donated a portion of the prizes and tested out the *Tennis Blitz* game in which the competition took place, stating, “It’s an incredibly realistic video game that allows you to feel the excitement of a real tennis competition. I have used it and enjoyed competing against other users and experiencing different scenarios. It’s been amazing!”
For Alejandro Sáez, CEO and co-founder of eGoGames, “this collaboration of Juan Lebrón with ‘Gaming For Good’ in support of UNICEF Spain has demonstrated the generosity and accessibility of this world champion, who didn’t hesitate to put down his racket for a moment to play tennis on his mobile. For us, it also marked the organization of the first of many charity tournaments we will hold to support the improvement of living conditions for millions of children and adolescents worldwide. Thanks to the participation of so many mobile video game users and particularly in *Tennis Blitz*, we have taken the first step of many that we will undoubtedly take alongside UNICEF Spain.”
The trophy presentation also served as an opportunity for eGoGames to hand over a €10,000 check to UNICEF Spain, representing the funds raised during the tournament. Under the signed alliance between both entities, UNICEF Spain will allocate these resources to programs aimed at improving the survival, education, and protection of the most vulnerable children worldwide.
